Companion tool to the Syntergy Data Manager, MetaManager is server based tool that allows you to add, update, remove and manage Categories and Attributes to millions of objects in an OpenText Content Server without any downtime.

Use Cases:

  • Apply a Category or Categories to all objects/versions within a container hierarchy that can contain categories. Containers can be:
    • Community
    • Folder
    • Project
    • Compound Document
    • Custom - the tool is extensible and new functions can easily added
  • Enrich Attributes of a Category or Categories with the following types of values:
    • Value from another Category/Attribute attached to the object/version, no transformation, like to like data type
    • Value from System Metadata or decoded values
    • Fixed value
    • Value or concatenated values from the same Category
    • Custom - the tool is extensible and new functions can easily added
  • Remove a Category or Categories from all objects/versions within a container hierarchy that can contain categories. Containers can be:
    • Community
    • Folder
    • Project
    • Compound Document
