Challenge
Daelim's Enterprise Portal - built on the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server - operated via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) between Daelim’s head office in Seoul, Korea and Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, the VPN’s painfully slow bandwidth prevented the staff in Al Jubail from effectively communicating with head office.
Solution
In order to address the painfully slow transfer of data across their VPN, Daelim added a MOSS server in Al Jubail at its team site. Then they needed to replicate data between Seoul and Al Jubail by using Syntergy Replicator for SharePoint.
Value
The addition of Syntergy Replicator for SharePoint and an extra MOSS 2007 Server has helped Daelim reduce bandwidth and save time related to keeping documents current and uploading data. Daelim plans to expand the use of Syntergy Replicator to its other overseas construction teams.
