Syntergy Makes Red Cross Donation Help New Zealand Earthquake Victims
La Jolla, CA—February 28, 2011—Syntergy today announced a donation of $1000 to the Red Cross to help support those affected by the February 22 earthquake in New Zealand. The 6.3-magnitude quake caused massive damage to New Zealand’s second largest city, Christchurch. The quake caused significant loss of life and injury, as well as severely damaging buildings, infrastructure and services.
Red Cross is there providing essential support and humanitarian assistance where needed. Red Cross has over 170 trained staff and volunteers from all over New Zealand currently working in Christchurch to support the relief efforts.
“We have customers based in Christchurch who were affected by the earthquake. Our thoughts are with them and we wanted to offer what assistance we can to the families and those coping with this disaster,” said Douglas Arthur, President, Syntergy. “Syntergy’s donation will be used towards the response efforts to the disaster and will help meet the needs of those people affected by the earthquake.”
